Cookie Policy
Last updated: February 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ContractPulse ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies when you use our platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, improve performance, and provide information to site operators. Cookies may be set by the site you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services operating on that site ("third-party cookies").
Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them manually.
2. Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled. They do not require your consent under applicable data protection laws, as the Platform cannot operate without them.
| Cookie / Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Supabase | Session / refresh token lifetime |
| Security tokens (CSRF protection) | ContractPulse | Session |
| Session management | Supabase | Up to 7 days |
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies enable enhanced features and personalisation. They are set based on your consent and remember choices you make to provide a more tailored experience.
| Cookie / Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Display and UI preferences | ContractPulse | 1 year |
| Cookie consent preference | ContractPulse | 1 year |
Analytics Cookies
If you consent to analytics cookies, we may use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymised usage data. This helps us understand how the Platform is used and where we can make improvements. Analytics data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.
| Cookie / Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymised page views and performance metrics | Vercel Analytics | Session |
3. Third-Party Cookies
The following third-party services may set cookies when you use the Platform:
- Supabase: Sets cookies necessary for authentication, session management, and secure access to the Platform
- Vercel: May set cookies for hosting, performance monitoring, and analytics (if analytics consent is given)
ContractPulse does not use any advertising or tracking cookies. We do not serve ads, participate in ad networks, or allow third-party advertisers to place cookies on our Platform.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit ContractPulse, a cookie consent banner allows you to accept all cookies or limit your consent to strictly necessary cookies only.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. Please refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Please note: Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in to the Platform and may cause core features to stop functioning. We recommend keeping these cookies enabled.
5. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, ContractPulse uses your browser's local storage to store certain data on your device. Local storage is similar to cookies but can hold larger amounts of data and does not expire automatically. We use local storage for:
- Authentication tokens: Securely stored tokens used to maintain your logged-in session
- UI preferences: Your display settings, theme preferences, and cookie consent choice
- Cached data: Temporary caching of application data to improve load times and reduce unnecessary network requests
You can clear local storage through your browser's developer tools or by clearing all site data in your browser settings. Clearing local storage will log you out and reset your preferences.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and ContractPulse does not currently respond to them in a standardised way.
Regardless of your DNT setting, we limit our data collection to what is necessary to provide and improve our services. We do not track users across third-party websites and do not use advertising cookies, as described in this policy.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, our practices, or applicable legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will reset your cookie consent preference so that you can make an informed choice under the updated policy.
